The work behind the title
I’m Alex, a software builder by background and temperament. My work sits between the decisions a business needs to make and the systems an engineering team needs to deliver.
I lead technical direction, work through architecture, and stay involved in implementation. These days, a lot of that work is helping organizations use AI thoughtfully, with clear ownership and a plan for what happens after the demo.

Connecting product direction, platform architecture, and reliable delivery for a multi-tenant SaaS business.
Notes from the work
I'm for sure going to post some stuff from #AllThingsOpen this week, but that got sideswiped yesterday/today for news from... PHP? That wasn't on my bingo card.
I've never played Go. I've played enough chess to appreciate its complexity, but Go is orders of magnitude more complex by possible positions. More than the number of atoms in the universe.
“As agents get more capable, why should your product still exist?”

On stage, in practice
I speak about applied AI, agentic development, and the engineering choices that matter when software has to work outside the demo.
Talks & speakingWhat changes when an agent becomes the way people use your software? A practical look at product access, context, permissions, and inspectable results.
Let’s connect
